Mission Statement
It is the mission of the D.A.R.E. Unit of the Itawamba County Sheriff's Department to teach the young people of our county the dangers of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Drug use. We teach them to avoid violent situations and to report any activity that may be leading up to a violent act. We also teach a supplementary course that ranges from Bullying to Internet Safety. We strive to keep our youth from going down the wrong road and attempt to instill knowledge in them that will keep them on the right path later on in life.
